Ha Giang Loop Itinerary

Ha Giang Adventure: Beyond the Ordinary (3D2N itinerary)

DAY 1 HA GIANG - YEN MINH - DONG VAN 
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Overnight: Dong Van old town)


08:00: Breakfast 
9:00: Meet your driver and start the tour. 

Scenic drive along the Lo River to Quan Ba district.

Cross Quan Ba Heaven Gate (1,500 m) for a panorama of the Twin Mountains.

12:20: Have a lunch in Yen Minh 

 
Conquer the nine hair‑pins of Tham Ma Pass; viewpoint at the summit. Visit Hmong King’s Palace (Vuong Family Mansion) – Dong Van (Built between 1919 – 1928, the complex blends Chinese Qing‑style courtyards with French colonial stone and indigenous Hmong wood‑carving)

17:00: Arrive in Dong Van town
19:00: Family dinner and free time to visit old quarter

DAY 2 DONG VAN - MA PI LENG - MEO VAC - DU GIA 
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Overnight: Du Gia village  


08:00: Breakfast 

If Sunday, visit the vibrant Dong Van ethnic market before departure.


09:00: Drive along the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass

20‑min “Sky Walk” on the limestone cliff trail for spectacular shots of the Nho Que canyon.

Board local boat/kayak on the jade‑green Nho Que River through Tu San Alley – deepest gorge in SE Asia.


12:30: Lunch in Meo Vac

Continue via the scenic M‑shaped Road 34 to Du Gia. Possible stops at M Sap waterfall & Sa Phin Hmong King’s Palace (optional).

16:00: Arrive Du Gia Tay village surrounded by rice terraces.

19:00:  Family dinner with homemade rice wine; overnight in a stilt‑house.


DAY 3 DU GIA - HA GIANG 
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch


08:00: Check out and Breakfast.

Visit Du Gia waterfall you can swimming & cliff jumping

Depart  back to Ha Giang city

Visit Lung Tam weaving village (Hmong). Watch natural‑dye hemp weaving & try your hand at batik printing.

16:00: arrive in  Ha Giang (Short rest & shower if needed)

19:00: Sleeper bus back to Hanoi.

DAY 1 HA GIANG - YEN MINH - DONG VAN

08:00: Breakfast at Bong Ha Giang hostel 

9:00: Start your journey from Ha Giang city 

Stop at Quan Ba Heaven's Gate for panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. This is a great spot for photos and to appreciate the natural beauty of the area.

Twin Mountains: Known as "Co Tien" (Fairy) Mountains, these iconic peaks are a symbol of the region.

12:30: Lunch in Yen Minh 

13:30: Continue your journey to Tham Ma Pass, where you can enjoy winding roads and breathtaking landscapes. Take a moment to stop at viewpoints to capture the stunning scenery.

Scenic viewpoints: Capture the beauty of rocky mountains.

16:30: arrive in Dong Van town

Explore the old town, known for its unique architecture and cultural heritage. Visit local markets and interact with the friendly locals.

DAY 2: DONG VAN - VUONG HOUSE - LUNG CU FLAG TOWER - MA PI LENG PASS - MEO VAC 

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Overnight: PAVI village (homestay)

08:00: Check out and breafast 

09:00: After breakfast, visit Nha Vuong, a village known for its unique architecture and rich history. Interact with the locals and learn about their way of life.

Continue to Lung Cu, where you can climb the flag tower to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Flag Tower: The northernmost point of Vietnam, symbolizing national pride.

12:30: Lunch in Dong Van town 

Drive along Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most scenic routes in Vietnam. Stop at viewpoints to take photos of the breathtaking landscapes and the Nho Que River below.

16:30: Check in to your accommodation and relax after a long day of exploration.

19:00: Dinner (you will join with other group at the homestay)

DAY 3: DONG VAN - NHO QUE RIVER - DU GIA

8:00: breafast and check out

9:00: After breakfast, take a boat trip on the Nho Que River. Enjoy the tranquil waters surrounded by towering limestone cliffs.

12:30: Lunch time 

Depart from Meo Vac and head towards Du Gia. Along the way, stop at local villages to experience the culture and hospitality of the ethnic minorities.

Sights: M- pass; Visit Du Gia waterfall you can swimming & cliff jumping

16:00 Arrive in homestay

19:00: Enjoy a peaceful dinner featuring local cuisine.

​DAY 4: DU GIA - LUNG TAM VILLAGE - HA GIANG

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

9:00: Begin your journey back to Ha Giang city, visit Lung Tam Village, famous for its traditional textile weaving. Observe the artisans at work and learn about the intricate process of making local textiles.

16:00: Arrive back to Ha Giang,
